BUENOS AIRES, April 22, (Xinhua) --Cauchari Solar Park, located in the town of Cauchari in the northwestern province of Jujuy, with financial and technical support from China, has contributed to poverty eradication in Argentina by training local residents in communities with inconvenient transportation.
The project is helping to promote local economic development, raising the standard of living in an area with limited access to energy, and contributing to the development of clean energy sources in Argentina.
The photovoltaic plant built by China Power Construction and the Shanghai Electric Power Construction Company is the largest of its type in Latin America, providing electricity to some 160,000 Argentine families since September 2020.
The project is the result of a solid relationship with China, materialized through the financing of Exim Bank in China, and technology supplied by the firm Shanghai Electric Power Construction.
The manager of this company, Jorge Delgado, explained that the project has offered more than 1,000 jobs to local communities.
One of the key goals of both Argentina and China has been to contribute to the development of new energy sources. This objective has been met with the construction of this solar plant.
